Will Plextor burning software work with the tdk 12x10x32?

I currently have the ultraplex 40 and want to use plextor's bit to bit cd copying software. I was wondering if this is compatible with tdk velocds that everyone is claiming to be a rebadged plextor?
 
As far as I'm aware the Plextor software is only supposed to work with actual Plextor drives, but if the TDK drive really is a rebadged Plextor than maybe it will work.
 
The TDK drive made by Plextor, but I don't know if it's exactly the same as the Plextor or not. Even if it is you'd probably have to flash your BIOS to the Plextor one and I don't know if that would work....
 
The Plextor software only works with true Plextor (badged) drives.

For example, it doesn't work with the Imation 8x20 drive. However
if you flash that drive to be a Plextor (in name and firmware),
then the Plextor software will work with it.
