Will Penryn work in 965 or 975 motherboards?

I'm wondering if I should hold off to upgrade to a Q6600 in my P5B Deluxe? If it won't accept Penryn then I'll just go with the Q6600.

Yes, with BIOS update.

It's only guaranteed to work in P35, but the older one's might work with a BIOS update (I wouldn't count on it)

Yes, they will definitly work on a P5B Deluxe with a bios update.
