will pc2700 work in pc133?

will the pc2700 underclock itself to run at a pc133 clock rate? i got conned into helping someone with his computers...lol
 
No it will not, since it will also not fit in the slot, you could...but you'll need to force it in lol, even then it will not work since its a totally different type of RAM.
Sorry to hear what happened though, but I do belive PC133 memory to be cheap.

PC133 and PC2700 are two totally different types of RAM. PC100/PC133 uses 3.3V, has 168 pins, while PC2700 uses ~2.8V (varies on the RAM a little), 192 pins, and a totally different format than PC100/PC133. It won't even fit the slot (unless you use a hammer I guess).
 
i just need to pickup a quick 256mb but it's $50 at fry's lol.

edit: oh snap i forgot all about sd and ddr. i've been out of the hardware loop for too long.
