In the event of a brokered convention, if Ryan is nominated by the GOP, will he accept?

Just shows you none of the GOP leaders has the countries interest at heart. If they did they would come up with a P/VP combo to fight Trump.

They won't do it because of ego and their careers.

He would be a sacrificial lamb, and I think he has ambitions to running for president one day. Hopping on a runaway train headed for a cliff and becoming the face of the establishment turning their backs on a sizable portion of their voter base would not serve that ambition in the least.

What do you mean?

The GOP leaders and their friends have been trying everything possible to date in order to derail Trump. They've thrown 10's if not 100's of millions of $'s at Super PACs that are anti Trump. They've gone on TV, written letters and given speeches denouncing Trump. Everybody they've backed against Trump, and there have been quite a few, has been crushed.

If by saying a "P/VP combo" you mean a 3rd party effort or stealing the nomination from Trump at the convention, well, the news I read says that they are currently working on/considering those options too.

Re: Ryan - I don't think so. I think he recognizes the potential damage to the Repub party were that kind of thing to happen at the convention.

He's too young to ruin his career in politics and be relegated to industry, where you generally have to actually know what the fuck you're talking about. He'd never make it. Unless you go into lobbying, which for a former speaker would be pretty lucrative. So maybe there's a chance.

Does anyone believe that Ryan will accept the nomination without damaging his political career?
