the new intel chipsets indeed had got me interested, thats not bad for a amd guy, but i will pass on the new boards. the nforce 3 boards will start popping up in a month or two, and from what i have read, can use the opteron amd processors. sounds very exciting-read some info about it here-

Opteron would be cool if you could use them with non-ECC RAM. I think Opterons require it, do they not? I'm not talking about Athlon 64s, mind you.

not sure, don,t know a whole lot about the nforce 3 or opteron, was thinking the opteron is suppose 64-bit

gigabtye is also coming out with 6-nforce boards soon. they emailed me and said the last of june, so that is soon. the one board , there actually is a review on it, has dual everything-bios, raid , lan, and who knows what eles. look at the the ga-7nnxp here . can,t wait, have owned 2 gigabyte boards-never had a bit of problems
