the country sent a message to Washington and the political leadership.
they are unhappy with the way the Democrats have handled things.
Now, will the Democrats listen? The country did not blame the Republicans, no matter what the Democratic deniers (President down to the At P&N hacks) want to think.
Many Republican governors were elected in states where the Dems were thought to be secure.
A couple of days ago, the President saw the writing on the wall and started to make with the excuses.
People in this country saw that the Democrats were in the WH and that the Senate was under the iron grip of the Democrats.
and they felt that over the past few years, the Democrats did not deliver on what was needed, expected. Deniers (which are already showing up here in P&N prior to the election and still within these few threads) can push out excuses that the Republicans have blocked the Democratic agenda.
From the people POV, that becomes another excuse. the Democrats stated that were going to lead the country out of this mess and they have failed to do so. finger pointing is only acceptable to the blindly faithful.
Wall Street is making money; but people still are not getting raises and are worried about their jobs.
Dems showed up 6 years ago stating that they were going to reform the system; apparently they had different ideas on what reform met.
Leaders lead, get things done, forge compromises, negotiate solutions between opposing ideals; find a middle ground.
This has not happened and the people revolted at the ballot box as a result.
Democrats, listen up; if you can not show some progress, the 2016 advantage will be squandered.
