Hi,
I have a shuttle PC that had a ATI 9600 XT card that had both DVI and D-sub connectors. I used to use it was a CRT d-sub screen no problems. About 2 weeks ago I bought myself a 32" LG LCD and connect directly DVI to DVI no problems at all. A week ago I decided that I wanted to buy another PC so I asked a few people at work if anyone wanted to buy my old shuttle from me. A guy wanted to so I got it ready to sell to him. I did a bit of a naughty thing and swapped the 9600 XT with a 9600 SE that my friend had and the buyer was not even going to use it for games so I thought what the hell. However now I have found that with the new card installed the PC will not boot with the DVi connected. No error beeps. Nothing. Just a fan and some times the lights might flash. If I have the screen turned off when the PC is turned on its all find and I hear windows logging in I turn on the screen and its all fine. The PC will boot with the screen connected via D-sub. So it all works just not with DVI - DVI on hardware boot. Any ideas?
