I have an ASUS P4PE with 256MB DDR 333.

Bought it yesterday. Have been unable to power it on. I have used 2 different power supplies and When I turn it on nothing happens. Just the Standby LED comes on. Any ideas?

Could you chuck some more info our way? Like what perphs you've installed.

A couple of common probs are installing the motherboard headers the wrong way round (you know, the power on/led switches etc...) or leaving the clear CMOS jumper connected. It's unlikely to be your PSU since you are getting SOME power. I'd check the orientation of the motherboard headers.

I have the following:

P4 2.53
ATI Radeon 8500
Adaptec PCI SCSI
Enermax Whisper 350 PS
256MB DDR333
HD: 30Gb Quantum ATA100
HD 15GB WD
16X DVD
Yamaha SCSI CD-R

I had an issue with my initial piece of memory, I was getting indicator beeps indicating RAM not detected so I got a replacement, now nothing only Full power for a few seconds then the LED comes on, I have yet to see video. Tried clearing CMOS didnt work.

Thanks for the inital reply

Might be a grounding issue often caused when there is metal-to-metal contact between the bottom of the motherboard and the side of the case. I had a similar problem. Try assembling and powering up the computer without the case.

I just having same problem with my board, my solution was
take board off the case, to prevent grounding isssue.
remove all card, only left video card, memory, cpu, and PS.
see if it boot up or not, if not, swith one item at a time.
if yes.,
start to add one card at a time to test out.
yes, it take long time, but it will help you to figure out what went wrong.
