Will Norton Internet Security 2003 protect against spyware???

I use NIS 2003 (with the medium security setting) and I still get spyware, according to Spybot Search & Destroy. I would try that, or perhaps Ad-aware. The free versions should be good enough ...
 
Norton IS will not detect Spyware. It will stop it from calling home if you want it too. Both free versions of Adware 6 and Spybott will do just fine. There is no need to purchase either one unless you want to support them or want the ability to stop spyware from installing on your system.
