will Norton 360 slow down the download rate?

my notebook comes with Norton 360 pre-installed.

i wonder if it is a really all around protective software where i don't have to purchase another one.

I am using winxp pro.
will Norton 360 slow down the BT speed or any major slow of any kinds?

It should not affect your d/l rate in any way, nor should it use excessive system resources. Overall I find N360 to be an adequate security solution.

I've experienced slower downloads due to programs hogging memory, so IMO it may be possible but I doubt it as it shouldn't take up that many resources
