Will Nintendo service my DS if I don't have my receipt?

I bought it in February 2007, but I don't even know where the receipt is. Anybody have experience in this? Thanks.

Probably? They can tell by the S/N what the manufacture date was.

Shouldn't need a receipt for the manufacturer of any product to make a repair, they only care about the serial number

It was late at night when I asked this, so just thought I'd have some people chime in with experiences.

They asked me for my serial number only when I request service for my DS Lite. They didn't ask for a receipt.
