Will Ninja Turtles complete the trifecta of summer blockbuster failure?

I thought Godzilla was moderately successful and Transformers did well enough because people like explosions.

Yeah. Godzilla was a GREAT monster movie (there's one scene in that where I would have paid full ticket price just to see that and walk out :awe: )

Transformers sucked as usual but did insane business at the box office.

Another case of "I don't like something therefore nobody should."

It will make millions. Are you expecting an Oscar worthy performance from one of the ninja turtles? People want explosions.

I have low hopes for it but will still see it.

lol... Godzilla was not a failure. Not Oscar-winning but definitely not a failure. Try again.

I did not like Godzilla but it was obviously not a failure. I hate the transformer movies but they all make tons of money.

are you defining failure as "making shitloads of money"?

Ugh. So depressing when decent films like Edge of Tomorrow flop while god awful films like transformers just churn out another piece of shit because people keep buying.

After that Oblivion nonsense, we don't want to see his next 3 movies.

I think Ninja Turtles actually has potential. Of course, a shit ton rides upon the script giving us a good story, and do I think that will happen... ehhh let's just say that I have my reservations. Given Michael Bay's hands are in it in some fashion, it will probably just be a giant toy commercial just like Transformers is.

Godzilla
Transformers Dinobots

They putting drugs in your Froot Loops boy? Godzilla has made a fortune, gained overwhelmingly positive reviews and they're already working on a sequel. Transformers has been out a week and despite getting some of the worst reviews in the history of movies it's #1 at the box office and likely will make money. Neither can be called a failure and Godzilla was an overwhelming success.

Transformers makes so much money overseas it's not even funny. It'll likely cross $1 Billion worldwide when it's all said and done.

OP is fail, if anything.

That was my only problem with it.. while I am totally cool with character development that movie could have been chopped down an hour and did the exact same thing.
