Will next generation Mac mini drop VGA support?

The current generation Mac mini still supports VGA. I have a VGA projector that I'd like to use along with it, but was thinking of waiting for the next iteration (Skylake?) instead of buying one right now.

Knowing Apple is quick to ditch legacy standards, I guess that the next generation Mac mini will drop that support..? What say you?

Thanks.

If they use a DVI-I port (rather than DVI-D), then you've got some time before you have to worry about it (ie. you can use a cheap DVI -> VGA adapter). However, while graphics cards tend to have DVI-I ports, integrated graphics solutions tend to come with DVI-D for reasons best known to the manufacturers.

They will most likely not support VGA since it will require an extra chip as the integrated graphics does not support it natively. And again, Apple is probably the first in line to ditch that old standard.

I suppose that the next Mac mini iteration will skip Broadwell altogether, right?

Digital projectors are super cheap, I would just upgrade to an HDMI projector.

What do you consider cheap? I am not seeing this?

When doing presesntations, it is not always required to have a 1080i/ 1080p projector either.....VGA are still plentiful.
