Will the new Tuluatin .13 micron P3 that will be released at 1.13-1.23G be able to run on old socket 370 systems? I have an 800EB right now on a Gigabyte ApolloPro133A and was wondering I ever have a chance of getting the new P3s.

Nope. The Tuluatin will probably use a new socket and if I recall correctly, it's going to feature a FSB of 200Mhz, so it's basicly incompatible with any Socket-370 solution currently out there. We're out of luck :(

Actually they changed that, it's still going to be 133MHz FSB, and FCPGA S370. It's going to be the exact same processor just at higher clockspeeds. The mobile vrsion (NOT the Desktop versio) will have 512K L2 cache though.

Intel is changing the pin-out slightly to make it incompatible with current FCPGA S370 motherboards.

I think one of the main reasons why current motherboards wont be able to support Tuluatin is because of the lower voltage Tuluatin needs.

No current board or chipset supports the Tualatin processor. Support will come with the new i815G/i815B chipset.

If it's just a matter of voltage/pinout, couldn't someone desing a slocket to allow a Slot 1 board to accept a Tuluatin?
