When I say old I mean summer of 1997. I'm not sure what form factor the case is. Is there anyway to tell by looking at the case itself?

That's just it...I don't know...I have never opened it up and I didn't build it. Bought it from a mom and pop shop.

AT keyboard connector (DIN5) or 5 pin DIN

You know...I think you may have caused me to find my own answer...kudos to you.

Which brings me to a new one....if there is an AT format board in there....do they still make AT format boards?

Will an ATX board fit into an AT format case?

These questions are based the assumptions of a google search.

Unfortunately, An AT case will not fit an ATX mobo unless you make some modifications. But personally, it's not worth it. You can buy el cheapo case from $25.00 to $45.00 and probably be more than happy than modifying an AT case. In short, if you are deciding on modifying an AT system, sometimes you're better off putting together a new one and give the old one to the kids or to someone special to you.

That's not necessarily correct. There are/were some ATX/AT cases made. I have 2.
One I purchased ATX, the other AT (at the time I had numerous AT MBs).
I still have both of the cases. The ATX has been upgraded to an Antec 303x PS.
The AT I've converted to ATX with a codegen 300 P4 PS. The tricky thing is finding
an ATX power switch....but I found one.
Now as for MBs fitting into the older cases..........
It appears the physical size of today's MBs are indeed getting wider and wider....
Most AMD and P4 MBs are too wide for my cases. The memory slots overlap the CDRom
drives........I have to look for MBs no bigger than 200x300cm...............
