I am upgrading my system and want to know if I will notice a difference with a new graphics card or if I am fine with my old one?

Will be getting a P4 2.8C and a P4P800 motherboard-

I now have a NVidia Riva TNT2 32Mb and I am looking at getting a MSI VTD8X GeForce4 Ti4200 AGP 8X 128MB DDR.

I play some games but mainly do web design and video/audio work. Will I see a change or at lease a $136 change(granted I will be able to use 2 moniters)
Thanks for your input!

I'm sorry, but for even considering using a TNT2 with that P4-C, I'm going to have to n00bslap you. /whack :Q

Secondly, yes, the Ti4200 is an okay choice. The "Some Games" should be clarified a little more though - give us some examples of what you'll be playing. I'm tempted to say "get a Matrox G550" since you're a webdev/AV monkey, and the G550 packs the best consumer-level 2D evAr.

And finally, don't you dare spend US$136 on a Ti4200. You can get them refurbed from Newegg for $65 (64MB model) or $98 (128MB model)

Welcome to the Forums. :D

For 2D stuff you prolly won't see much of a difference, esp when comparing between 2 nVidia cards... if you're talking about 3D, Ti4200 would n00bspank the TNT2 left and right and up and down the same way M4H spanks you :p

Get the Asus V8420S TI4200 from newegg for for $140. It comes with 3.3ns RAM, which at default runs at 550 Mhz... and the GPU default is 260. Compare that to 90% of other Ti4200's that are 250/500, that's not too shabby... then consider that I have mine overclocked to 335/655, which is faster than the Ti4600 which by default is 300/650.

And mine which I put in just last night is at 320/690. They're great cards.
