Will my XFX run this setup?

In my Gamer PC,

I was thinking once the 69xx series comes out, I *may* consider buying a 2nd 5970 for Crossfire.

Would my currentl XFX 850w run my setup with two of these cards? Its a rebranded Seasonic with 70a and 840w on the 12+ rail

yes,he is right. Sell it and buy 3 fast single cards or crossfire it with a cheap 5870.

There are some good deals for the 5850/5870 floating around. Why not just buy one of them and crossfire it with your 5970?

We would not recommend two 5970 cards on that power supply. A 5970 with a 5870 would be getting close to the recommended limit of the power supply with the rest of your components added in but it should be fine.

A 5850 or 5870 will Crossfire with your 5970.

Because Ati cards have crossfire issues? Or has that been resolved with better drivers?

In buying a 5850. From my research it's the best card to trifire with it. They seem to scale much better then the 5870
