There will always be games that will benefit from faster clockspeed to increase minimum framerates or quad core support like Unreal Tournament 3. Also Taltamir has investigated that Mass Effect happens to be severely cpu limited even at 3.6ghz with a dual core. Having said that, once you crank the AA and full image quality you should have a better gaming experience.
