Will my system bottleneck 470gtx?

Hello All.

I was wondering if my current setup will bottleneck a 470gtx.

Specs:
E8500 OC 3.6ghz (Voltages Auto)
GA-EP45-UD3P
2x1 1066 Corsair Dominator sticks ( I have 4x1, but I had to RMA a kit)
2x 10,000 RPM Velociraptor Raid 0
1000W Corsair PSU
Case Thermaltake Armor

Long story short, my 280gtx died in a blaze of glory and I need to buy a replacement. After I replaced it early last year I forgot to re-register it with EVGA. :hmm:

Depending on the game you play, the answer is more likely no, you will not be bottlenecked. You might run into lower frames when running CPU-oriented games like BFBC2 or DA:O, but in general, you should run things fine. Might I make a suggestion to go ATi in this market 😛.

No, but get back up to 4GB ram as soon as you can, and gains would be seen from going quad or OCing more

That will fly with that card, get it! don't worry, every game on 90% of the systems out there will have frame drop but how significant is a diff story...

How bad will the Frame Loss be?

I forgot to mention, I run 1680x1050 Resolution.

I would say that at 1680x1050, you would be held back quite a bit by a C2D @ 3.6GHz.

C2D FANBOYS WHO ARE GOING TO FLAME ME ANYWAY STOP READING NOW. :awe:

However, I wouldn't worry about it since you will still likely be getting 60+ FPS. You would only be "held back" in the theoretical sense.
