Will my RAID setup survive to changing the RAID controller???

Hi folks!

I'm currently using the OnBoard Promise RAID controller on my A7V133 MoBo (Promise PDC-20265R) and I'm going to get an ASUS A7V333 MoBo which also uses an OnBoard Promise RAID controller, yet its a different one (Promise PDC20276).

Can I mantain the RAID setup by just pluging the two IDE HDDs to the A7V333 RAID controller or I must destroy and create a new one??

Thanks!!

If the RAID chipsets are different then it will most likely not work.

I know for a fact that if they are different brands (highpoint --> AMI) it won't work.
