Will my Q6600 heatsink work on the new sockets ?

I have a bunch of aftermarket HS/fans I bought a few years back.

Stocked up on em because I got them for very little after rebates. Thinking about building a new system soon and going 2500k. Will these work on an 1155 socket ?

The mounting holes for 1156/1155 are different from Socket 775. They won't work as-is. the Hyper TX2 is probably only for socket 775.

For the Gemin 2, chances are you can buy a socket 1156/1155 mounting bracket for the heatsink.

I've used a bunch of older Thermalright coolers built for socket AM2/775 on socket 1156 and 1155 using adapters I bought from Thermalright.

If you get an Asrock board they have a second set of mounting holes for 775 coolers.
