so you mean they can log your MSN chatting record?

I am afraid they can log my browsing cache too...

Anything you do on their network, they can see. And depending on how things are setup they may even be able to watch your SSL traffic. If there's something you don't want them to see, don't do it on their network.

i now assume they will log what i see, but will they download what i download?

let say if i download a movie from office like 500MB, will the server also save that 500MB movie? or they just knew i have a 500MB .avi transfering throught my LAN cable?

I guess the server(i only guess) won't have that much of a space.

and or is there way to encryt the data transfering to your computer?
like by sending codes to the server just to prevent the server to know what u r doing.

Why in the world would you want to do that at work? And they don't have to store what you download. All it would require is the IP of the site you visited and the amount of traffic you had there.

You are going about this all wrong. If you want to download a movie, do so on your own connection, not on employer's network. Simply trying to circumvent your network's security measures is likely against your company's network use policy, possibly even illegal.

It is Not just a matter of whether you would get caught or Not, you are putting the business at risk, and doubt that what is what you were hired for.

To put it simply, yes anything and everything you do can be recorded, logged, inspected, used as evidence in your firing or any legal issue. Even if it is encrypted.

legally everything and any data you send over their network is THEIR property and they can do whatever they want with it.
