Will my laptop work in U.K. with just a power adapter?

For voltage input my laptop says 110-240V and 50-60Hz, so does that mean it will work in U.K. with only a power adapter and not require a power transformer/converter (something that will take the power from 110V to 240V)?

yep, my Dell worked wiht just the prong adapter.


Little story: I thought I would be smart and bring a surge strip with me since I was limited to one prong adapter. Stupid me forgot the whole point of the surge protector is to stop power from going above 110. It went and so did the breaker on the entire 2nd floor of the hotel.
