Will my iMac print OK to

I have a HP laser printer that is Windows Only. Still new in the box, never got around to opening it (hey, it was ten bucks)

Anyway, if I put it on my XP based server can my Mac print to it properly? Basically I am confused as to whether or not the Windows features needed to have the printer print properly are available when used across the network, let alone by non-windows machines.

Don't most network printers have to have the drivers installed on the local machine AND the networked PC? If so, I would think you'd be out of luck since it's a Windows Only printer.

Someone with more experience might be able to chime in though.

If it has a Jetdirect card installed, you can print to it directly over the network but otherwise you're out of luck there.

Might be worth installing Bonjour to see if it could find something to use....
