Hello, i am in this forum to get help on a hardware upgrade.
i have an AMD 3500+
DFI LanParty SLI-DR
2GB of OCZ Premier Duel Channel OC'ed
Western Digital Caviar SE - 120GB 72K RPM 8MB SATA-150

I have the money, but I am unsure if my mother board will be AMD X2 Capable. I work with Photoshop CS2, and DreamweaverMX 2004, and other Digital Media Apps, and want to get the New AMD X2, but am worried that my mother board won't work with it

Any opinion/information is appreciated,
Thanks

Get the 4400+ with 1MB cache per core, rather than the 4600+ with 512KB cache per core. :)

I have gotten alot of stuff from tiger Canada, and i have had no problems at all, except once, i was sent a refurb ASUS P4800Se, which was defective, and i have recieved great service from tiger in relpacing it, and i really appreciate that Tiger has a Canadian Site(and other international sites), instead of having to always Deal in USD, plus there are deals on different stuff for either US or Can Tigers...Some deals in Tigerdirect.com are not in Tigerdirect.ca, Vice versa, and also i am also a NCIX man, it is hard to get parts from Newegg/Monarch across the border without having to pay duties/misc Fees, i live in Canada, and have had pricing problems with Newegg.com/monarch.com, there are my 2cents,

thank you for you opinion/input on my request for information
all the questions i have had, have been answered

*edit*
ProviaFa, i was wanting a 4400+, but i ahve to get graphics cards for new SLI,and 4200+ will do me find until X2 comes down in price, and when that days comes, i'll have 2 X2 chips...happy me buying what i want, when i want....i will eventually get another X2 in the future with 1MB L2Cache, but fo rnow, 4200+ will surfice.
