i heard that ps4 will have longer legivity... and you will have to upgrade again in 2016/2017 to get the same resolution/fidelity as ps4 games

Say what?

PS4 games are already surpassed by PC's. There is no need to upgrade ever again to beat PS4 performance.

All that changes is PC games get more demanding and look better, at a faster rate than consoles. If you want to keep up with the cutting edge PC games, then you will want to upgrade, but it has nothing to do with consoles.

well i kind of want to know more about maxwell... seeing as its nvidia next generation gpu

i heard rumours of 2x the performance of titan..?

We know next to nothing about Maxwell, other than some keynote slides. So basic ideas on some technology going into it, thats it. And being that it wont be released until Q314 at the earliest (According to when TSMC will have HP 20nm ready), not much point on dwelling on what it *might* be able to do.

You can build a 500-600 dollar rig now that will handily exceed the PS4. Remember, it has a midrange Radeon 7850 GPU thats more than 18 months old. Xbox One has an even weaker GPU in the 7790. ~200 dollars gets you a video card that will easily exceed the performance of these disappointing next gen consoles. Doubly so for the XB1 and the 720p Resolutiongate fiasco thats going on right now.
