I'm in need of a wireless router and am looking at the WAP54G. This router does not state a channel for use in Japan and I see some routers do. Will it really make any difference? The Navy Exchange on the base where I work sells some wireless routers that people buy and use all the time and I didn't see any mention on those that they have a channel for Japan. WIll I just be able to find the channel that works best for my setup and go with that? Are the different channels there just to find the way to go with the least possibility for interference?
The whole wireless router thing just came up recently now that my wife wants a laptop for her use, so I'm just starting to do research on routers. I don't really know anything about the channels and how they work, so if I could just get some hints on that I can put my order in.
Should I go with the Linksys or should I go with one that specifically states that it has a channel for Japan?
