Will Ivy Bridge fix the 23.976fps bug in Sandy Bridge?

From the recent news/leaks on Ivy Bridge, is there any info on whether Ivy Bridge would fix that 23.976fps playback problem on Sandy Bridge? I really want to use a low-power Intel CPU to update my HTPC box, but the 24p bug is quite noticeable on the two TVs I have (Pioneer Kuro and recent Sony LED LCD).

If you are already using Sandy Bridge, there are some potential fixes to get it closer to 23.976FPS than 24FPS. Supposedly instead of a dropped frame every 40 seconds, it becomes every 5 min. I don't know the procedure, only that people have talked about it.

The Sandy Bridge is in my main rig, and 24fps doesn't matter. Is it the HTPC rig that itching an update from Athlon CPU + lowend Radeon. No way I'll deal with workarounds and partial fixes, I would rather go with AMD if Ivy Bridge has the same bug. The problem is more than just a single frame loss, it actually messes with video motion smoothness for a second or so. This varies from TV to TV though.

Word is yes, it is fixed.

Ok, I'm holding my breath for Ivy Bridge. 🙂
