3BTech had some customers that reported compatibility problems with the newer WD 6.0Gb/s HD's.
The issues were chipset based.

You are running an Intel P43 based MB. I am using one of the WD 1TB 6.0Gb/s drives with my Intel P35 MB, which is older than yours.
You shouldn't have any compatibility problems with the HD.
You have a 3.0Gb/s controller, so of course you can't expect 6.0Gb/s performance out of the WD drive.
But you can't even expect 6.0Gb/s performance out of a 6.0Gb/s controller and HD. :\
But as long as you understand that you should be happy with this HD.

I want this HDD, because i will make upgrade in near future. New motherboard will have sata3 controller. I need new disk now, because my current is full of capacity (320GB Seagate). There are very important data on it and I cant remove it. Fast disk is priority - 3D rendering, video rendering, video record with Fraps...

I hope, that you understand this, this isnt my born language. :D

Thank you for your reply.

Oooh, I was wondering what the problem was.

Anyways, as an alternative, what about a Velociraptor or SSD (since speed is priority)?
