Will it work or create problems?

Good Day;

I have a wireless router in my room which isn't covering the house. I have the house mostly hardwired. So i connected an access point in the middle of the house. In terms of the SSID (name of wifi) if i place it in the same name. Will it work? And if so what will happen when in both coverage, which will it connect.

It will connect, the client will decide which AP to use. But since they are not using a controller you may get some funky situations where the client bounces between the APs. Or the two radios fight over the same channels.

Use separate channels to avoid conflict, don't expect roaming with Soho gear

SSID each its own name.

Password can be the same.

One on channel 1 the other on 11.
