Will it fit?

I currently have a BFG nvidia 8800GTS(G80). Is the new GTX260 larger, because if it is, it will be very difficult to get it on my Asus P5B-D MB ...

Anyone know? Having trouble finding physical specs on these 2 nVidia cards...

Isnt the 8800GTS G80 about the same length as the 2900XT ? And I know the GTX260 is the same length as the 8800GTX and the 9800GTX. So just base the size of the 8800GTS G80 with the size of the 8800GTX in the pics above and you will know the size difference from your 8800GTS to the GTX260.

And if this is true....you will have issues.

The mobo isn't the problem (PCI-E slots don't vary). Its the case. The GTX 260 is about 10 1/2 inches long. Measure where your putting it.

I just replaced a 8800gt with a 280, holy cow is their a size difference.

In the above attached pics, it seems it's about 2" longer... sound right to you?

thats about right. I did the same thing because Im cramped in my Smilodon case. Had to stick with the 8800GTS because they are only 9 1/2 inches, and thats my max. The power cables into the cards are up against my HDD's

my EVGA GTX Core 216 is 11 1/4 inch long

Thx for that precise measurement. When I replace my existing case fans, I will look/see if my MB has space for this "elephant in the room"... YIKES...
