Heya, thinking about buying a upgrade package for my brothers comp, so will it fit in my case ? and how big improvement will it be in the performance?
Here's the package: http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=752348#reviews

Current specs:
Predator G3100
amd athlon(tm) II x4 645 3.10 ghz.
Ram 8 gb
w7 64 bit.
Gigabyte Gtx 660
psu: 500w
Motherboard: Amd 880g sb850 (will the ASUS P8Z77-V LX fit?? )

Thanks in advance!

Going from an Athlon 2 to a I5... a lot. If you're not keeping the parts from the old one, you can probably add in the 8gb of ram from the old to the new.

You're going from a mATX board to a new mATX board, it should fit fine unless Acer does some kind of weird thing like Dell did on their old system with proprietary power supplies and mounting, but I doubt that.

I think it would be an easy switch, and the i5 is a huge upgrade, nearly twice the computing power on an i5 compared to the 645. The new computer should be good for another 3-4 years at minimum.

If you don't have a solid state drive in there, that would actually be the biggest bottleneck in the system, I think. You'll appreciate how fast the i5 is with even a cheap SSD drive. Look into that next.

Oh, one more question. Do I need to update or do anything special after I've reinstalled the new windows after the change of the motherboard and cpu?
