Will It Bottelneck Gtx 970 with i5 4460

Hey guys i am looking to build a new pc i am interested in buying the gtx 970 graphic card and i am looking to buy i5 4460 processor but some one told me that a fx 8350 is also good but my real problem is that i am not sure if my processor will bottleneck my gpu and if there is any other setup better for my build thank you in advance

i5 and R9 290, 290X or 970 are all good options. Do not get the FX.

Don't get the FX - either GPU is fine.

I5 is a better choice than an AMD CPU.

You might consider a Radeon, GTX 960 or a 980 instead of the 970.

The 970 is good for current games, but it has a memory flaw. It has 3.5 GB fast RAM and then another .5 GB of RAM that kills performance:

Depends on the game but for most it will be a excellent match.I think in the games that make use of 4 good threads,my i7 3770 non k is pretty much as fast as a 4460 and no issues with my 970.

WOT and GTA4 are really the only 2 games on my pc that could seriously use more cpu but pumping up the resolution pretty much could bring my gpu back to being the bottleneck in a second.

There is better bang for buck options like the 290 i would consider as well,the 3.5gb deal with the 970 may or may not be a deal breaker and its a valid enough argument for anyone to really just go for a 290.🙂

Don't go with the 960 it only has 2gb of vram and is far worse than the 970, 290, 290x.
