Will Intel dual core cpu's require new motherboard?

I think the topic title and summary says it all, but I am hoping bios upgrades will allow me to use the new Intel dual core cpu's since they share the same socket design as my current cpu. I have heard claims that a new m/b will be required and, contrarily, that one will not....
Anyone heard anything new on this topic?

They won't work with current chipsets, so you will have to upgrade the mobo to use dual core.

It says that here.
"We did get confirmation that the dual core CPUs would not work on existing 925X and 915 based motherboards, not without changes to their design. While we would normally be disappointed, the fact of the matter is that very few people bought 925X and 915 based motherboards so it's not too big of a deal."

Yah. LGA775 boards and Presshots are NOT future-proof. Whoever buys them thinking they are, just wasted a lot of $$$.

NO motherboard is futureproof. I consider motherboard+CPU+RAM as a set. Buy it. Use it. Replace it in 2-4 years. Even if you could, would you want to run a 3GHz P4 on a 440LX board with PC66 and a PCI video card?

If you didnt already get your answer, its no. They won't. There will be a whole new chipset, probably even a new socket for the dual core processors.
