Will I still have Unlimited Data with Verizon if: ?

My dad is joining the family plan that I'm on, and he's taking my iPhone 4. I plan on getting a Galaxy Nexus to replace it. Will I still get unlimited data on my Nexus, and he would be capped at whatever the new data rates are, or would we both suffer the new data caps?

If it matters, I originally signed up through Best Buy, and I would be porting my # to my Nexus while he would get a new # to use on my iPhone.

AFAIK you will still have the unlimited data plan, but for the new line I don't think you will have the unlimited data and would be restricted by the new data plan, but only on that line.

I went through something similar and was told by a VZW CSR that As long as you don't change the type of plan you'll be fine

You will lose your unlimited data if you

-Go from a single to a family plan
-Go from a family to a single
-Change your line from a smartphone to a tablet

I didn't ask about the air-card...

Yep yep. My contract is up in Dec, and I recently asked about this and a few other things to get some clarification.

You'll get to keep your unlimited data plan with the Galaxy Nexus, but your Dad, since he's getting a brand new data plan, will be stuck with the 2GB cap (or whatever cap you choose).

I haven't figured out what phone I'm upgrading to, but I am DEFINITELY upgrading from this blackberry, and it's gotta have 4G since I'll be using it for at least the next 2 years.
