for the past two months i've been playing basketball consistently during my lunch break at work mwf. these used to be my normal workout days, but i love basketball too much to give it up. so the question is, if i workout on t-th will i over work my body? I really want to get back in the gym but I don't want to over do it

Squats 2x5
power cleans 2x5
bench 2x5
bent rows 2x5
oh press 2x5
DL 2x5
plus
dips 2xbw
pullups 2xbw

i'm not sure if i'd be overdoing it or not, it felt good, but i don't want to have the central nervous fatigue syndrome if i can help it.

oh I also surf on saturdays. sundays i try to rest.

i feel it seems kinda ridiculous to do this much expecially on a 34 y/o body so please be as critical as possible because if it is going to be unhealthy for me to do this much I'd like to know.

Thanks for listening.

I personally don't think it would be that much. AFAIK, usually CNS fatigue is caused moreso through heavy lifting than general activity. I would imagine it would be good to lift and that playing basketball would help circulation, cardio, etc. Try it out and if you have any probs, take a week off. It's pretty easy to deal with :) GL man.

You can tell if you are over doing it. If you have nagging injuries that don't heal, if you are constantly feeling worn out or if you keep getting sick then you are over doing it.

As long as you feel good then I think you are fine. The human body is capable of a lot more than what we subject it to. What's abnormal is forcing the body to sit 8 hours a day in an office. :)

Are all those exercises done in one workout or are they divided between two days (stronglifts/starting strength)?

Where are you located? I would add more surfing! If I still lived in California, I'd be out 3-4 days a week if I could.

I live in San Diego. The exercises are done in one workout twice a week.

I'm actually starting it up today. :)
