Brand loyalty just makes absolutely zero sense.

More bang for buck and not to mention a whole other cart load of reasons just get a 4870.

Why is brand loyalty BS

Choosing a card by brand over quality/value for money make's no sense.

Why don't you quote and address my entire post... Again we aren't talking about purely going on brand loyalty. We are discussing products (260 and 4870) which in many ways are close or tied in terms of costs and performance. I think the added things like Step Up, double lifetime warranty, better coolers, are a big plus that a brand can deliver in this scenario.

wait till the next gen cards come out.

I hope that was sarcasm.....it's terrible advice IMHO. You upgrade to the best you can afford at any given time. Unless release is within a couple weeks. Otherwise you will forever wait.

"next gen" never comes....it's always...next gen.

Can we stick to the subject guys? He wants to know if an upgrade would be worthwhile for his needs, he doesn't want the condensed history of anti-aliasing.😛
