Will I notice a differnece in preformance?

Not really into computers that much but I was thinking of getting either a 3600+ or a 3800+

the only difference I can see it the 3600+ has 256 X 2 cache & 1.9 ghz and the 3800+ has 512 X 2 cache and 2.0 ghz.

Price is not that much difference but the 3800 is starting to get harder to find locally.

Overclocking is not an issue (although I hear the 3600+ is a champ at it).

Not too much into gameing..... but I would like to start video editting (nothing intensive, just home videos (tape to DVD) and taking out commercials for tv shows I have taped).

Otherwise it's just going to be an office computer.

Will I notice the smaller cache?

You will not see a difference between them.

anyways, no you will not notice difference except in programs where the execution is timed like winrar. Otherwise you won't.
