not sure if this is even possible as i'm a newb wen it comes to storage, but i just got 4 seagate 18lp's for free and plan to raid them. they are 18.2 gb each and are ultra-2 scsi.. i have a 300watt psu and not really sure if it can handle it + a rw and a 52x cd-rom.. ne1 got ne idea?

What is the rest of your system? You could give it a try but if the system runs with instabilities, upgrade to 350 or 400 W.

Thats what I would do anyway, first test if the existing setup is enough and if not THEN go out and by a bigger PSU. You can't really break anything in the process and I hate wasting money on things that I don't need or would make just a marginal difference in benchmarks for a much higher price.
