Will I need a new power supply if I switch to P4?

I currently have an Antec 300watt power supply in a SX-830 case. Do I need a new power supply for a Gigabyte 845D motherboard and P4 processor. I remember reading a while back that some motherboards didn't need the p4 connection. Can I get an adapter if the Gigabyte does?

If it's the 303XP model then you can use it with P4. Open up your side panel and look at the sticker on the PSU and you should see your model #.
