Will I lose installed programs if I upgrade from XP Home to Pro?

Wondering how much work will need to be done after upgrading

I am unaware of an upgrade from home to pro. If it's a actual ms upgrade then you should be fine, however if your planning on installing pro over home, I would expect to lose some. I don't know what files are the same, plus I would imagine the registry would be overwritten which could cause the loss of all. So, if its a MS made upgrade, go for it.
