How buggy is build 7000, should I wait for the final build? Here are what I use in Vista x32 mostly, KMplayer and CoreAVC, ut3, imgburn, logitech setpoint, norton av.

To go from 32 to 64 bit you must do a complete reinstall. I believe you will also have to do a complete reinstall to go from a beta Win 7 build to Win 7 RTM.

Windows 7 should run most programs that Vista runs. Granted it's still a beta, so few programs have been specifically written or modified for it.

KMplayer, Imgburn is probably fine. UT3 shouldn't see much of a difference. Not sure about Norton, CoreAVC or Logitech Setpoint.

7000 is stable.

Build 7000 may or may not be stable, but the point is moot - it's expired already.

Build 7100 is good until Mar. 2010.

Quoted for Truth - Build 7000 is expired and should not be used.

Windows 7 has been officially signed off on for Release To Manufacturing. If you have an MSDN or Technet+ Subscription, the official bits should be available on or about Aug 6th.

When you say complete reinstall, do you mean a replacement of the C:\WINDOWS directory or a must format of the entire HD?

Replacement of the C:\windows directory. Although personally I would recommend doing a format C: instead.
