Will I have problems using DDR2100 on a K8T800 Chipset Motherboard for AMD Athlon64 CPU?

I'm upgrading to a MSI "K8TM-ILSR" K8T800 Chipset Motherboard with a AMD Athlon 64 3000+.
I have 2 GB of DDR2100 that I want to make use of.
Will I be able to, and if so what performance hit should I expect? I'll be using it for CAD aps.

Thanks.............

Well, with that much memory, it helps, but your performance will suffer considerably (I really don;t have a number for you, but 10-20% ???) , so as soon as the budget allows, get some PC3500 CAS2 (Mushkin level one is my current favorite)

yeah i think you should def. upgrade your memory to either 3200/3500. Like Markfw said, Mushkin is good, as well as Crucial and Kingston.

Thanks for all the info. I'll hang on to the ram for now and save my pennies. :)
