I am currently using a 24CFM Panaflo 80mm L1A on my Taisol CGK760 with my 750 chip. I would like to use this on my new 1.4 GHz chip I'm ordering later tonight. The stock 60mm Taisol fan that comes with the heatsink pushes 19-22 CFM (from the product page). The stock setup is rated at 1.4GHz+

If I try using the Panaflo on the HS, is there a possiblity I will physically damage the CPU? Or would my system just overheat/not boot? I'm willing to try it as long as the chip isn't an instant casualty.

Watch temps. If it hits 65C or crashes windows, turn it off. Then upgrade your fan.

As long as it doesnt crash, you are good (65C is a generic reference point, YMMV)

Hey I say spend the extra 10-20 bucks to get a little cooler since you are running a 1.4

Goto www.tcwo.com, there you can get a really good price on the 1.4 266 bus. TO be exact $109 with a shipping cost of 6.50. YOu just have to call them though. But heres a good thing about this company, when you order from them and also buy a cooler from them you get a 1 year warrenty dirrect from them, its better than those 15-30 day dealer warrenty on those OEMS. YOu can check out www.amd.com and see which coolers on that site are amd approved.
