So how bad is Frontier? Are they bad as Spirit? I've never flown budget airline. I'm thinking about taking the family for an extended weekend trip to San Francisco for some sightseeing and they have really cheap airfare. Will my family hate me if I make them fly Frontier?

maybe...

IMO, Frontier isn't terrible...but they're definitely not a top-tier airline.

I rode a budget airline once. From Gatwick to Marrakesh. It wasn't bad. I think it was Ryan Air. I still have all my stuffs. Imagine that.

depends on how long the flight is imo, the shorter the better with budget airlines

Atlanta to San Francisco so about 4 1/2 flight. But the good thing is it's nonstop flight.

I was about to bitch about those numbers. 22 years? Frontier Airlines has been around for several decades...they I did some research. Turns out, there have been two airlines called "Frontier Airlines." One ran from 1950-1986...then went belly-up, the current one started operations in 1994. So,I've flown both versions without realizing they were separate entities.

I flew Frontier about 10 years ago. I had no complaints.

As a collector of airline wings I can attest to this.

Nah they were probably just calibrating the GPS and compas. Suppose to do that on the ground when plane is not actually moving, but save time if you do it in the air. :p

Lol reminds me of this flight someone I know went on that was on a super old plane, I don't recall the exact context or what airline it was on, but during takeoff everything inside the cabin just started to beep and lights flashing and even weird things like the bathroom signs were flashing. Plane was shaking violently. Everyone was tense and the flight attendant is like "ohhhh don't worry, it does that all the time!".
