Will I be able to vote?

Gooberlx2

Lifer
I still have my Wisconsin ID but live in Colorado (since June), I won't be changing residency until after I turn 25 in November (insurance reasons).

I went ahead and registered to vote in Colorado...but I asked the guy if I would be still be able to even though I'm not an official resident of Colorado. He didn't seem too sure, but I went ahead and filled out the paperwork anyway.

Anyone know about this stuff?

absentee ballot

Is that really required though? I mean, I filled out the paperwork and now get all kinds of election crap in the mail. Maybe I can vote in BOTH states!

Nobody checks the voter rolls, so yes, you can probably vote in both states. It's up to you to decide if you want to, though.

Whoa! Really? :Q. I thought I was kidding. Hmm....I'll have to check on which state is less of a sure thing (Be nice to do the absentee ballot and NOT stand in line).

Good answer. I have a friend who lives in Oklahoma but plans on absentee balloting his home state of Pennsylvania, since it's a swing state and his vote counts for something there.

It depends on who your voting for.

:disgust:

No matter who you are voting for, please vote in a single state.
Well, I'd hope he wouldn't make a trip from Wisconsin to Colorado or vice-versa just to vote twice 😕.
