Will I be able to run my RAM at 1T?

I have 2 - 1gb sticks (2gb) of this kind of memory running in dual channel mode: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820141233

According to the specs it says it runs at CAS 2 with 2-3-2-5 timings, however when I go into the bios on my PC it shows timings of 2.5-4-4-8 running at 2T. I haven't overclocked this ram yet and was wondering what you guys think this ram should run at. I want to run it at 1T with decent timings.

I was going to overclock my system to probably 2.5ghz (250x10) and will most likely have to run my memory at a 2:3 divider? Probably instead of 400DDR it will have to be set at 333DDR? Am I right in saying this? Also what timings should I have it at probably?

Thanks for the help. Specs are in my sig.

Disregard the timings it shows by default in your BIOS. You should set them "to start" at what they are rated at and then go from there. 1T is FOR SURE if you are running the 2 DIMMS in dual channel mode (correct slots). You should not have to go to 333 Mhz instead of the 400... that would be reserved for 4 X512 as that is a limiting issue with some memory controllers. Again you should have no issues running 1T and full speed on that RAM -- obviously till you hit a cap on its ability. If you are going to OC to say 2500 (10X250) you should set your HTT to 4X (to get 250 x 4 = 1000) and also your RAM if you do not want to OC it... yes set it to 166 (or on your board I think 2/3 or whatever gives you that divider). This will ensure that at that speed of 2500 MHz your RAM will clock at 200 Mhz... however you might get lucky and with playing with your voltage of that RAM you might actually get a 1:1 ratio and be able to run the RAM at 250 Mhz.

Just change your BIOS settings. 1T is a MUST on AMD64 systems unless you are filling all 4 DIMMs. If you get your HTT to 250, you will probly have to use a divider like 3:2 or 5:4.

So manually set it to 1T and I'll probably have to do run my memory at 166mhz (DDR333 setting in bios). But the timings are what confuse me. I guess like the above poster said, start at CAS 2 with 2-3-2-5 timings along with 2.9 vdimm, and then go from there? Run memtest to pass test 5 and 6 and if it passes, then maybe tighten the timings to 2-2-2-5? or something like that?

Any more advice? You guys are great.

No I wouldnt ever try 2-2-2-5 timings. Most boards and memory have problems doing that. Timings matter little. Just set it to 2-3-3-6 or even 2-3-3-7 and be done. It really doesnt matter. Its like a whole 2 fps more in a game.
