Will I be able to run a chip at lower voltage on an Asus CUSL2?

Right now I am running my 700-933 at 1.65 default voltage and it is doing fine. When I try for the magical gig, it will only boot into win98se and then crash when I run 3dmark2000. Up the voltage to 1.7 and it seems to be running fine now. My question is if I run at 1ghz 1.7v for awhile, will I be able to run at 1.65v in the long run or is it stuck at 1.7v for stability? Cuz if its stuck at 1.7v stable, I was wondering if I should just revert back to 933 1.65v , as I like default voltage :) thx

1.70 volts should be within tolerance limits....I think you will find that with more accurate monitoring, the CUSL2 gives just a little more juice than what you set it at anyway. I'd be concerned at running anything more than 1.80 volts, but 1.70 volts should be fine. You should note that 933 and above are set to 1.70 volts by Intel anyway.
