Will humidity be a factor for my PC?

Ill be moving to NC in a month or so and i was wondering if the 100% humidity days can have an ill effect on my computer. Normally I wouldn't worry but my current PC has a mesh cutout side. Am i just being too paranoid?

The humidity doesn't get much worse than Houston and I have never had a problem. Do you think that noone in NC has a computer because of the humidity?

No, i was just wondering about a pc w/ a mesh siding, exposing pretty of half of the inside to possible condensation.

Condensation happens when you have something that is cooler than the ambient temperature.

yup. paranoid.

I live in Northern New Jersey, between a swamp and a river. it's rare that we have days with anything much under 100% humidity in the summer, and I've never had a computer-related issue because of the humidity. just don't leave a cold glass of water on top of your motherboard.

the smell is not that bad ;)

it's pretty awful if you have to drive through the swamp (there's one road that cuts right through it and is only a couple feet above the water level), but it's otherwise fine.

Well.. Humidy actually reduces static electricity, so less possibility of one of your components randomly frying something. :)

Id just be careful with "assisted water cooling", IE, water cooling with Peltiers or something, where it gets colder than ambient air.

100% humidity would be a lot wetter ;)
A 100 Relative humidity means the air has taken as much as much water as it can, at that temperature. 100%RH in Antartica means it's still dry and horrible, whereas 100%RH in New Orleans would prolly mean nightly sweat.

Yes, I'm idle.
