Will having a misdemeanor on your record that was dismissed be grounds for you not getting a job you were offered?

i wouldn't think so, just as long as she answered that section of the application where it asks if any crimes were committed. of course, the employer will not let that section of the app go unnoticed, just as long as the crime isn't pertinent to the job or if it was many years ago, it shouldn't really be an issue. most employers now don't particularly care if an applicant has been charged with a DUI, unless of course the applicant was trying to be employed as a driver of some sort. don't worry about it too much.

all the application said if ever convicted of a felony, first off it was a misdemeanor and second of all, there was no conviction.

Well then, isnt that a bit self explainatory?
